Right, so I'm in Brooklyn, and NYC is still awesome. Yay!

But the place I'm staying in will be undergoing some construction/renovation, meaning I have to find a place to stay for the next 3 weeks.
Of course, my deadline is Saturday, Sept. 13th and I still have nowhere to go. Hooray for disconnected friend networks!  :p

So, I may be incommunicado for the next 3 weeks. I have my cellphone, but there will likely be no chance for internet access until I'm back in the apartment.

Not that I'm exactly easy to reach normally, but now I have an excuse.

Fortunately, I have very little to worry about after this little obstacle. Less stress will be good.

Well, I've been stuck in this hellhole AGAIN for... what, 2 years? Ugh.
But no longer! My job with the government (!) shall pay off in late spring, when I transfer to NYC. If it doesn't go through, I may just curl up and die. I can't stand this place. Half the people here are the sort of people you see quoted on FSTDT.com, and just being around them is lowering my IQ.
I swear I had an argument with a coworker who believes the Bill of Rights is just a rewording of the Ten Commandments. I kid you not.

In other news, I have two shiny new computers! A desktop of gaming and win, and a laptop of the same. I stress-tested the laptop by running City of Heroes and Lord of the Rings Online at the same time, at high quality. No lag. NONE. You may express your envy now.
The laptop is going to be my mobile work/gaming machine. The one at home will be for the majority of my games. And porn. >.>

First, I have a driver's license. I also happen to have (until I can afford better) a POS car. It's better than nothing, I suppose.
This means that, assuming I have accrued leave, I can travel once in a while.

Secondly, I have a cell phone. If you want to trade numbers with me, email me at johnny DOT sane AT yahoo DOT com. Leave your name, full phone number (area code too), and your usual available times for random phone calls.
I also have free text messaging, but typing with my thumbs is a pain.

Third, I am currently working as a Document Examiner (read: secretary's assistant) at the state's Health Department, Bioterrorism Division. I also do minor tech-support here. If you hear of similar jobs that pay at least $1100 a month, or even jobs that I could vaguely be qualified for that pay that much, let me know. I need work outside of AR - preferred locations are NYC, Salt Lake City, and Houston areas.

Fourth, if any of you play City of Heroes/Villains, World of Warcraft, Dungeon Runners, or Neverwinter Nights 2 online, I am usually on one of those every evening after work (that's 5pm-midnight CST), Sunday through Thursday. It's a much more reliable means of reaching me. You can also email me at the address mentioned above.
